Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail

This was the first regional jail in Missouri. It opened on February 15, 2006. The building was once called Midwest Security Housing, and the two counties bought it for $3.5 million. A half-cent sales tax passed in November 2005 paid for the purchase. The bond was paid off two years early in 2014. The facility holds up to 160 prisoners. It also houses inmates from about four other counties and four cities. The jail roster includes all of these inmates, not just people arrested in Daviess County.

Visitation at the Regional Jail

In-person visits must be scheduled by calling 24 hours in advance. Visit times are Monday through Friday, 9am to 11am and 1pm to 3pm. A non-contact visiting room is used for friends and family. Video visits are also available through www.inmatecanteen.com. You need to create an account to schedule a video session.

The phone system at the regional jail allows outgoing collect calls only. If the inmate wants to make calls without collect charges, they can buy a calling card. Phone time can be purchased through InmateCanteen.com as well. All calls from the jail are subject to monitoring and recording, which is standard for Missouri jail facilities.

Daviess County Jail Roster Mail and Commissary

Send mail to the inmate's first and last name at Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail, 102 N. Meadows Lane, Pattonsburg, MO 64670. There are rules about what you can include. Photos must be 4x6 or smaller. You can send up to 10 photos, but no images with nudity, alcohol, or gang signs. A plain wedding band with no stones is allowed. Prescription glasses can be sent in. Two soft-backed books are allowed if mailed straight from the seller. One soft-back Bible is permitted.

Money can only be sent by money order. Two-party checks are not accepted. You can also add money to an inmate's account at the jail in person, online through InmateCanteen.com, or at the credit card kiosk in the jail lobby. The commissary lets inmates buy food, hygiene products, and other supplies. Orders are placed through kiosks inside the facility where inmates can also send messages to staff or request medical care.

Medications can be sent if they are unopened, current, and have a valid prescription. The facility doctor must approve any narcotics before they are given to the inmate. Nursing staff are on site seven days a week. A doctor visits once a week. An on-call doctor is available around the clock for emergencies.
